Bioinformatics Team Leader Job Summary: A motivated and self-directed bioinformatics team leader is needed in a fast-paced small biotech environment to work as a hands-on leader to direct and grow a lean bioinformatics/IT team. Roles and Responsibilities: Rapid changes in next-generation sequencing technology have made for rapid changes in the demands of computational genomics. Our bioinformatics team is looking for an analysis team leader with interest and experience in both sequence analysis and system administration. Duties will primarily involve developing and refining all aspects of collection, management, and analysis of data from high-throughput genomic sequencing instruments. The successful applicant will be a nimble UNIX user proficient in maintaining and operating a UNIX cluster environment, and have programming experience in Perl, Java, C++, Ruby, and/or UNIX shell script.
