Developments Regarding Genetic Testing and DiscriminationOn May 1st, 2008 the United States Congress passed the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA). The law basically states that employers and health insurance issuers may not discriminate against individuals on the basis of their genetic information.
