Double strand primer walks provide contiguous sequence information for both strands of the region of interest. Due to the fact that both strands are sequenced, we can guarantee a quality score of Q=40 (basecall error approximates at 1:10000 nucleotides, 99.99% accuracy) for all bases assigned calls.
